The aims and objectives of the School Council are:

  • to promote partnership between the school, its pupils, parents and the community.
  • to develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils.
  • to provide support to, and encourage the management of the school.
  • to identify and represent the views of the parents to the school.
  • to coordinate the activities of the various parent bodies.
  • to encourage communication between all parties involved in the school and to disseminate
    information about their activities.
  • to create new parent groups for specific purposes.

This all boils down to encouraging and helping the school, telling the school what parents think, and telling the parents what they need to know about the school.
