Perth and Kinross Council decide the level of provision of instrumental music tuition in a school partly based on the level of interest (judged by the number of IT1s submitted to Perth & Kinross Council in the summer term).
The school council has agreed to circulate the IT1 form and Perth and Kinross Council Prospectus on provision of musical instrument tuition and these documents are attached.

On Monday, there was a meeting of parents of new P1 and P2 children to discuss various issues regarding the class sizes and configuration for next session. The meeting started off with a presentation from the Head Teacher to set out some of the facts. You can now download the presentation.
Following points raised, and after discussion by the Parent Council at our meeting on Monday night, it was decided to write to PKC to seek answers to some of the questions raised by parents. A copy of that letter will be posted shortly.

The dates for the Parent / Teacher evenings next month are 3rd March and 8th March. Your appointments will be sent out by the school in the next few days.
It’s that time of year again, Parent’s nights are here. This year they’re om the 4th and 9th of November.
Whilst you’re in the school, pop into the hall for the following:
Not so much cucumber sandwiches as digging and weeding. P3 and the school’s Eco committee are organising a Garden Party event on Thursday and Friday 28th and 29th May. Parents are invited to come into the school on the Friday afternoon, and anyone who can lend a hand to help clear, weed, and tidy up the garden will be made very welcome on Thursday. Contact the school if you can help.

PKC have provisionally announced that there will be a addtional in-service day for teachers on Tuesday, 21st April. The purpose of this additional day is to support the implementation of Curriculum for Excellence, and whilst this is likely to go ahead, they are still awaiting confirmation from the Scottish Executive. There will be an official letter once everything is confirmed.
Here’s the list of term dates and holidays up to 2011 as published by Peth and Kinross Council.
